FAQs

How do I create a new project?

To create a new project, go to the Projects tab, click NewAdd, and choose either a Template or an Empty Project. After entering a name, click Create to open it in the editor.

  • Templates provide a ready-made starting point.
  • Empty Projects give you a blank canvas for full customization.

💡Tip: If you’re just starting out, a template is the easiest way to learn and set up quickly.

Can I make a reusable starting point from my project?

Yes, projects can be turned into reusable starting points, but only if you are an admin.

From the project card, select Make Template, then provide a title and description. Once created, templates can be updated later by using the Sync option, which pulls in changes from the source project.

  • Only admins can create templates.
  • Templates remain available to all users once published.

💡Tip: Use templates to standardize project setups for your team.

Where can I find my live link after publishing?

When you publish a project, the live link can be found in the Verses tab. Each deployment automatically creates or updates a Verse, which you can open to preview and share.

  • From the Verses tab, you can also rename or delete published spaces.

💡Tip: The Verses tab is the best place to keep track of all your published and shareable scenes.

How do I keep things organized?

The best way to organize your work is by creating Collections. Collections act like folders and can contain both projects and verses. To create one, go to the Collections page, click Add, give it a name, and then add items.

  • You can add existing projects and verses to a collection.
  • Collections make it easy to move and manage related assets together.

💡Tip: Use clear naming (like Client, Team, or Workflow) so collections are easy to navigate.

Can I share or back up my project?

Yes, you can export a project as a .xrproj file for backup or sharing. You can do this from the dashboard by clicking the project’s options menu (⋯) and selecting Export, or from inside the project through the Project menu. To import, go to New → Import and upload the .xrproj file.

  • Exporting allows you to transfer or back up projects.
  • Importing lets you load existing work without changing the original project.

💡Tip: Use .xrproj files for collaboration, backups, or moving projects between accounts.
